Over 200,000 people attended Rozhen meetings in Bulgaria

In the first two days of the national folklore event in Bulgaria, more than 200,000 visitors attended the Rozhen meetings.

The next edition of the National Center for Folk Art and Livestock Breeding "Rozhen-2019" will be held with an impressive presence of Bulgarians from abroad. This is the data of the organizers.

Rozhen’s meetings are eloquent proof that the Bulgarian spirit is alive, said the chairman of the national assembly Tsvetka Karayancheva in her speech to the public. The speaker of parliament led the big Rozhensky horo (Bulgarian national dance), which bent at noon at 12 noon. Among the guests of the event was the chairman of the GEB parliamentary group, Dr. Daniela Daritkova.

Music from all the folklore regions of the country is played on 4 stages in Rozhen with more than 3,500 participants in the National Folklore Competition. The sensation of the second day of the meeting — Rachel, 28, from Texas, showed extremely emotionally, accurately, and beautifully “Deevo, Marie Hubava.”

More than 100 children and youth participate in the competition for authentic folk costumes, first held at the Rozhen Fair.

Museum and ethnographic exhibitions, exhibitions of handicraft and local culinary works, organic food markets are presented in the village of Rozhen. Stands with granola, fruits and mushrooms, dairy and meat products from the farm represent the Rhodope region. Visitors to the ethno-settlement of Rozhensky meadows have the opportunity to learn bagpipe lessons, to learn Rhodope people or folk songs. Ethno village represents the restoration of houses from different ethnographic regions of the country.

The concert program today continues with the Rhodope Night gala concert at 20:00. Spectators of the concert under the stars of Rozhen will see the performance “The Bride” of the Rodopa Ensemble, the performances of “100 Kaba Gaydi”, “101 Kaba Gaydi”, “Kaba Kabadailia”, Zlatina Uzunova, Valya Balkanskaya, Petr Yanev, Kristina Engerova, Svetla Dukateva, Nikolay Slaveev , orchestras "Rozhen" and "Rhodope soloists", etc.

Tomorrow is the last third day of the Council of Folk Art and Livestock, when the laureates of the National Folk Competition Rozhen will be announced.
