In  conversation with the First Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation Elena Lysenkova, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism (retired) Maryana Nikolova informed about the possibilities of Russian tourists entering our country. She thanked for the awards received at the two largest travel exhibitions in Russia - MITT and Intourmarket, according to the press center of the Ministry of Tourism.

“Our most important task at the moment is to restore the two-way tourist flow, which has been severely affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic,” said Minister Nikolova. She explained that today, at a meeting with Prime Minister Borisov, with the participation of Minister of Health Professor Angelov, three options for entering Bulgaria were announced - a vaccination certificate covering all vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization, including Sputnik V, with a negative PCR test or a negative antigen test, with a record of the illness in the past 6 months.

The Deputy Prime Minister also explained that great progress has been made in vaccinating the tourism industry. According to her, not a single tourist in our country, both Bulgarian and foreign, has contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, and this gives high hopes for a peaceful and safe summer.

Minister Nikolova also announced that the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow will organize a meeting on April 29 with all accredited tour operators operating in Bulgaria, at which they will be promptly informed about travel requirements. He added that he will continue to work in accordance with his mandate to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
In turn, Elena Lysenkova expressed gratitude for the fact that the Russian Federation is the first country that Bulgaria informs about the methods of entry of tourists. “We are very pleased that you are providing three options, and we are confident that this will make travel from Russia to Bulgaria safe,” she said. He added that Russia is open for partnership and cooperation with Bulgaria.
