Varna received the prize "The Most Promising City"

The sea capital of Bulgaria, Varna received the award "The Most Promising City" based on the modernization of the tourist area and the plan to expand the port. The prize is part of the Darik radio classification and the 24 Hours newspaper - “The Best City to Live in Bulgaria - 2013”. Minister of Regional Development Desislav Terziev presented the award to the mayor of Varna, Ivan Portny.

"Varna has the strength and ability to become the best city for life, since today the engine of its development is the desire of people for change," said Ivan Portnykh. As an example of active work with concrete results, he gave a restart of European projects, repairs of the main boulevards and the central pedestrian zone, the construction of new kindergartens, and the renewal of urban transport.

Varna is the only city that won twice in a row in the competition for the title "The Best City for Living in Bulgaria" in 2007 and 2008.
