In the current 2021, the planned flights to Bourgas Airport report an increase compared to the catastrophic air transport 2020, and for destinations in Central Europe the growth is also compared to 2019.
Polish airline LOT presented its SummerWithLOT campaign to promote its summer flights to selected cities and resorts across Europe. Lines from both Warsaw and Katowice are planned only to Bourgas and Mallorca. The interest of Polish tourists to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is traditional, but in recent years Burgas has become a preferred destination for them. The prospect is for the number of Polish tourists to increase - in 2021 the flights to Bourgas Airport are 13% more than in 2019 and 140% more than in 2020. There is a significant increase in interest in Burgas from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria.
Good news is also coming from the UK - Jet2 has started bookings for the summer of 2021 to Bourgas from 9 destinations - London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, East Midlands and Birmingham. The flights will start in May and will last until October. For the first time the company launched its summer program for 2022 so early, where Burgas is again listed. The flights are now available on the pages of the tour operator Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
